I thought the photgrapher captured the skateboarder well because he's perfectly positioned in the upper left corner. Using rule of thirds well and to their advantage because its gives you more of a perspective of where the stkater is at and what he's doing.
The photographer filled the frame well with these blades of grass. Making somethng really small and not very interesting look big and it captures your attention.
The lightposts form leading lines perfectly. They lead you to look at the subject, the beautiful orange sunset.
