Before and After

Before

I feel like i'm not all that great at photoshop but it definitely helps with giving images more color or correcting small imperfections. I think my corrections enhanced my first photo just a tiny bit with the color but other than that not so much. But on the other hand theres a noticable difference between the second photo I corrected, because i darkened it and gave it more color. I have no problem with correcting imperfections if its not a huge correction thats going to make it a completely different picture.

1.In this photo these swimmers appear to be in a race. The swimmer closest to the camera is the leader and as they get farther away they seem to be getting progressively slower than than the next. The way they are swimming throws the water off their arms as they a lifted out of the water. The lane lines seem to be all alligned aside from the second one, causing your eyes to shift rapidly and figure out whats going on in the picture. I might guess that they are in a competition, swimming butterfly. One question would be wgat are they racing for? are they trying to win something? or just practicing? I think the photographers motive was to capture the excitment and adrenaline involved in the minds of these three swimmers.
2.In this photo its obvious that this little girl is sad or maybe even scared of something or someone. Her hair looks a bit messed up and off to the side in a braid. Her eyes are the largest most caturing thing in this picture as tears are streaming down her face. The background is blurred but it could maybe be some grass or even a green wall behind her. The main focus and pretty much only thing in the picture is the little girl. She seems to be hurting or lost and her hair is falling in her face. I might ask why is she sad? or what is making her scared? I believe the photographers motive was to show you hurt and bring emotion to you.

3.There is a man hanging his feet over the edge of a cliff above a large, mean looking body of water. His shoes look a little dirty or weathered. The angle gives you a good idea of how high up he really is. The water looks like its crashing up against the rocks below and the lighting makes it look gloomy or cloud covered and cold. There are a pair of what looks like a mans legs, a cliff or rock he's sitting on, and dark blue water. Without even seeing the mans face i might say he's sad or confused. But he might just be trying to get away from something. One question that this picture brings to my mind would be why is there and what is he doing there? Is he going to jump? I dont think the photographer really had a motive, i think they just wanted to take an intersting picture.

4.This picture seams to be taken at nightfall in the middle of a forest with a raging river flowing through it. It looks like it might be misty or foggy which kind of creates question. Like whats going on behind the trees, off in the distance? I see lots of almost dead, werid, awkward trees. They almost look like they're going to fall over. The black and white makes it almost hard to see all the aspects of this picture but it also makes it myserious. I think the photographers motive was to raise question in the viewers mind. Kind of make you wonder.
5.This is a motocross rider jumping really high, probably on a dirt track. It looks like he's at a race because of all the people in the stands behind him. The black shadows bring out the bright blue sky and bright sun behind the rider. I would guess that he is in a race, he does this for a living, and he's having fun. I might want to know why he does this. And i think this photographer just took the photo for fun.

6. In this picture theres a young boy getting a lot of joy out of playing in the rain. I really like the way the picture captures the happiness in his face. You can see the car in the background so i would guess that he's at home. I would also say that he's never played in the rain before and he's having a lot of fun. I think the photographers motive was to bring out the happiness in this little boys face and body language. One question i might have is, why does the rain make him so happy?
